Allied Shipping Inc.
Allied Shipping Inc, rimwardly influential public corporation and member of the Commerce Guild, has limited activity in Selani Sector, amounting to less than 10% of total intra-sector trade in Selani Sector. Allied Shipping deals in roughly one-third of the trade to and from Selani Sector to its neighbors, which travels along the Royal Blue Trading Route cutting across this section of the Expansion Region from the Galactic Frontier and Unknown Regions to the Hydian Way, largely content in the shadow of the much larger Alderaanian Royal Shipping. Allied Shipping keeps an office in Selani Sector only in Selanis City on Selani itself with the next closest point of contact being the Hyperion Jump Station in between Selani Sector and coreward Gabarzeen Sector. They have no plans for expansion of their operations in the immediate future.
Cordec Shipping Corporation
Publicly held corporation that is an influential member of the Mining Guild and has assets across the Galactic Republic. Locally, Cordec Shipping has been a major logistics asset for the Mining Guild’s Enforcement Division and its attempts to enforce the blockade of Betorok. It’s influence in shipping volume is less significant but important for the local economy, with offices on many worlds in the sector.
Five-Star Shipping Corporation
Privately held corporation that was of minor importance behind the behemoth of local giant Selani Royal Shipping. Recently purchased outright by the Goma Limited Corporation and is thought by many to be represent a Corellian challenge to the historical dominance of the Alderaanian descended Orionis family. Most economic analysts of the local shipping industry are dubious about Five-Star being able to break into the market with anything more than the marginal footprint they currently hold, but admit the potential is there, but stiff competition is to be expected against Allied Shipping and Ginrei-Tropez.
Ginrei-Tropez Shipping LLP
Shipping concern that is said to be the personal plaything of the Hutt gangster Jorga. Not 50 years ago, Ginrei-Tropez was a small privately owned shipping company on the Class 2 trade route of the same name, between the two worlds Ginrei and Tropez in nearby Gabarzeen Sector. It was purchased through intermediaries (since traced to Hutt Space) little less than a decade ago and has changed hands twice, coming to the possession of Jorga the Hutt in late RY22,866. It’s volume and activity has risen sharply in recent years and despite its implication in illicit affairs regarding Betorok has generally been welcomed by worlds hoping to build their own economies on a new player in the scene. Though chartered as a Limited Liability Partnership after it's acquisition, Ginrei-Tropez is privately held and not as susceptible to public scrutiny, most analysts say it looks to be operating the black and legitimately expanding at the primary expense of Allied Shipping Corp rather than giant Selani Royal Shipping.
Selani Royal Shipping, Ltd.
Largest and most prominent shipping company in Selani Sector for most of its history. When the Alderaanian Viceroy of Thaerrius bequeathed a large sum to a servant by the name of Omar Orionis, the foundation of one of Selani Sectors leading families and industries was born. Omar turned primarily to the development of a nearby sector outside of the Royal monopolies granted in Thaerrius, and helped build an infrastructure that would feed, and be fed by, the Alderaanian efforts there, in the process both enriching himself and his family and building the economy of Selani Sector at the same time.

Selanis Industries, Inc
Selanis Industries is the public organization that serves as a collective umbrella for approximately 18 semi-indepedent shipping companies (many consisting of fewer than 10 starships) operating throughout Selanis Sector. Though nominally under the Selanis Industries oversight, these member companies are given relatively wide latitude for internal business decisions and the hyperlanes of Selanis sector are in continual flux between any number of them.
Galactic Minerals and Metals, Ltd
Galactic Minerals and Metals is a regionally powerful member of the Mining Guild. They've let Cordec Shipping take the lead in the Betorok situation out of logistical concerns, but they have vested interests in seeing their significant assets on Betorok either restored or compensated (with interest). Though initially in favor of Jedi mediation, the executive board of the corporation has been aggressively lobbying for a Republic Senate resolution on the matter.
Corellia StarDrive, Inc
The gigantic Corellian starship manufacturer has assets through the Galactic Republic that source materials for their famous shipyards. Their concerns in Selani sector are insignificant to most of their galactic holdings but are quite respectable locally. Their concerns in Betorok were not significant, though more than once the regional board has contemplated moving operations out of the sector due to security and publicity concerns.
Republic General, Inc
The large manufacturing conglomerate maintains several third and fourth tier subsidiaries in the local region, though more notable possessions are in the neighboring coreward Gabarzeen Sector. Those in Selani Sector are mostly resource gathering from Mid-Tech where they're distrubuted throughout the Expansion Region and Galactic Frontier after processing.
Travel Agencies
The only major Travel Agency that does business across the breadth of the sector is Selani Royal Travel, subsidiary of the Selani Royal Shipping. Galactic Star-Lines services the Royal Blue Trading Route to and from Thaerrius Sector and the Hyperion Jump Station but does not have a regular route that enters Selani Sector. The Five-Star Shipping Corporation has shown an interest in passenger service, and has filed for the requisite permits to compete with Selani Royal Travel as a dedicated passenger line. As with general Freight Shipping, Tramps currently perform a significant percentage (estimated between 1/3 and 1/2) of all intrasector contracts. Unlike Freight Transport, Tramps maintain that percentage in intersector transport through Hyperion Station and thence to Gabarzeen or Thaerrius sectors (after which it is almost exclusively more economical to book passage on one of the larger travel lines)
