Rules: Sith Arts
Sith Sorcery
Note that all Sith Powers result in a DSP for those who have not
fallen to the Dark Side. Once fallen, no further DSP are gained
from default use of these powers. Many of these are similar to Jedi Arts,
but are done through the use of the Dark Side of the Force.
"The Dark Lords specialized in the most abhorrent manipulations on the Force, with absolutely no regard to their side effects. Unfortunately, they were sometimes teachers..."
-- Alec Mest-Krym
There are several disciplines of Sith sorcery classified in the Jedi Archives on Ossus. Areas of study that focus on particular types of Force effects, they were not formal schools but instead based on informal divisions of similar effects of Force manipulation.
General: Sith powers defying categorization, or belonging to all disciplines equally. Many are the basis of other effects, those more complex that require an understanding and proficiency in lesser powers.
Body: Manipulations of the Force that range from simple healing rites to complicated rituals leading to the creation of Sithspawn (monstrosities bred and twisted from naturally evolved creatures). Sometimes labeled necromancy by some cultures. Body often interacts and supercedes (or is superceded by) the Mechanical discipline. In the Sith Empire, adherents of the two disciplines were often bitter rivals.
Energy: Force effects that summon energy from the surroundings and direct it at a target. Very overt and obvious effects that create extremely large tremors in the Force. The opposite of the Mind discipline in practice, and in the Sith Empire often diametrically opposed to each other, to the point of fanaticism.
Illusion: Force manipulations that deliberately deceive the senses of targets, altering the perceptions rather than actuality (as is common with other disciplines, particularly Energy, Body, and Protection). Often a discipline that leads to the more advanced Mind discipline and with an unusually close and symbiotic relationship by adherents in the Sith Empire.
Mind: Effects that manipulate the thoughts, minds, and mental workings of sentient and sometimes even nonsentient beings. In the Sith Empire, adherents of the Mind discipline were often closely associated with those of the Illusion discipline and utterly in opposition to those of the Energy discipline.
Mechanical: In the Sith Empire, rival to the Body discipline, which focused on rites fusing technological and biological components and functions. The Mechanical discipline was small during the Sith Empire and not widespread.
Protection: Force effects that defend the Sith from the effects of other Force powers, both physical and mental. Popular during times of internal dissent in the Sith Empire as well as during the Great Hyperspace War, but rarely popular (coincidentally or no) otherwise.
